Tuesday night market starts on this Tuesday! please come by and say hi! Stock up on all of your favorite goodies!
I challenged myself to make some bath balls that look like baseballs! Scented in a nice manly scent. These base balls have Epsom salts in them to help soothe sore muscles. These also have baking soda, citric acid, red castor oil, and witch hazel.
A lot of fun in your tub!
Making candles can be fun. But most people don't realize the testing involved in making a candle! Wax, wick, and fragrance load have to be tested. You want a good hot throw when your candle is burning and you want a good cold throw to attract potential customers. This candle is made with bees wax and lard! Lard by itself is to soft. Bees wax is an extremely hard wax so I am hoping that mixing the two together will be a wining combination! I decided to try a container candle because it is the easiest candle to make. I could try a pillar but I think it would be hard to get the candle out of the mold. I could coat the mold with a product that is called mold release (basically no stick spray for candles)! Anyway I will let you know how this experiment turns out. Stay tuned!
I like to make soap with good ingredients for your skin. Everyone loves goats milk soap, but avocado and cucumber purée make an extremely nice soap. Avocado is moisturizing and has antioxidant effects to help neutralize cell free radicals. Cucumber is full of vitamin C. Vitamin C helps your body’s collagen and elastin production. Cucumber also helps reduce inflammation. Of coarse they are tasty as well.
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. John 3:36 ESV
I love to wrap my finished soap in colorful paper. I spend a lot of time on my packaging. I think it makes my soap look good and it also keeps the soap from getting damaged when I go to craft shows. I try to match the paper to the soaps.
Another batch of beer soap. I love beer soap! It is so fun to make. I scented it with this nice fragrance called wasabi. Nice and clean smelling. This soap will be ready in about four to six weeks.
I was extremely excited to get a custom lotion order from my boss at the hospital lab. Lab week is a week where we play game have potlucks and pizza. So these beautiful lotions are going to be employee gifts!
Natural body lotion made with goats milk. This lotion is wonderful on your skin! Goats milk makes my skin feel nice throughout the day. This is a special order for lab week inside of the hospital. My boss asked me to make some for presents! She also plans to give some to administration! I am so blessed and thankful for this opportunity!!
We simply did not have enough hobbies at our house so we decided to give wine making a go! Eventually we will plant a few grape vines and grow our own wine grapes. The small bubbler has some plum wine and the other small bubbler has mead! The tall carboy has Old Vine Zinfandel. I can’t wait to try these!
Hi! I'm Staci from Staci's Homemade Soap! I LOVE making soap and I love the way my skin feels. Unlike store bought soap, my soap does not dry the skin! A natural product of soap making is glycerin! And skin loves it! Also goats milk is good for your skin. Goats milk has minerals in it and is loaded with vitamins .Goats milk also contains lactic acid, which is an alpha hydroxy acid....Goats milk soap is wonderful. I encourage you to try some! My goats milk lotion is a soothing moisturizer for dry skin. Since goats milk has selenium and vitamin A in it your skin will be happy and nourished.
