Twenty days of using the shampoo bar update.
I am really liking the shampoo bar! I do not like the apple cider vinegar rinse though. I use a light spray of leave in conditioner and I am loving the results from that. I will post my recipie here but keep in mind I have blonde thin hair so if you have different hair the recipe will require adjustment!
2 oz Avacado oil
2 oz Argon oil
2 oz Castor oil
6 oz Coconut oil
2 oz Meadowfoam oil
2 oz olive oil
5% supperfat ( too much supperfat leaves film on your hair)
Water needed 5.55 oz
lye amont 2.26 oz
use apple cider vinegar and aloe juice for the water. Add milk and egg yolk. I intend to add honey but forgot it!
Add 2 tablespoons of sodium lactate to help harden the bar and attract moisture.
Infuse the avacado oil with chamomile, dandelion, and calendula for blonde hair.
Scented with bergamot for heat protection.
Do do your own research into what herbs to infuse for you hair type!
I'll post the apple cider vinegar hair rinse so you can try it!
3 parts water
1 part apple cider vinegar
I add a tiny bit of essential oil to help with the smell. You won't smell it once it drys. But if you get wet or sweat you will smell it again. I did soften my hair and ease tangles. I just can't stand the smell!!!
